“… we’re sticking together & moving on”

The Two Of Us Productions was pleased to present the first staged reading of a new musical, MOVING ON.  This original work, with book & lyrics by Rosalie Calabrese and music by Blair Weille uses whimsical and sometimes wistful songs, mixed with earnest conversation and encouragement, to talk about contemporary women’s concerns.  The story opens with two travellers, stuck in an airline boarding lounge, who strike up a conversation to pass the time.  As their fellow passengers arrive to check on the status of their delayed flight the conversation turns from their mutual travel problems to the difficulties and problems each of our 8 women characters continue to deal with in their lives.

This staged reading with live music is being produced by The Two Of Us Productions in collaboration with Roving Actors’ Repertory Ensemble and the Valatie Community Theatre.  Directed by Stephen Sanborn and featuring piano accompaniment by vocal director Daniel Galliher, this entertaining staged reading features a cast of experienced actors who are very well known to their local audience, including Cindy Gutter as Sadie, Constance Lopez as Marge, Kim Mauch as Carol, Betsy Rees as Mary Ellen, Jody Satriani as Helen, Rachel Weiss as Judy, Diane Yorck as Janice, and Tara Young as Linda.
