A Chorus Line was performed at the Boland Theater on the campus of Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield, MA. in collaboration with the Public Arts Resource Center.

Here are some photos from this production, which featured a full orchestra tucked into the pit at the foot of the stage.  Special Thanks to the set development team for making our vision of moving mirrors a larger-than-life reality!

To our audience we would like to thank you for coming to see, and hopefully enjoy, our production of A Chorus Line.  When it premiered in 1975 it wowed critics and audiences alike with its honest and frank depiction of what was (and is still today) the life of the talented Broadway gypsies that are the backbone of every show.  A Chorus Line celebrates the joy of dancing and singing, and broke new ground by requiring every performer to be featured, every chorus member a focus of attention.

A Chorus Line is in a sense the original “reality” show.  Rooting for your favorites, wondering “what does he want” from them, is the audience’s role.  But as the audition process progresses, our point of view shifts to empathizing with the auditioners.  We start to see the situation through their eyes, and to see what is inside the individual characters that are collectively “The Line”.

Mounting this new production on the heels of the current Broadway revival of A Chorus Line has been a pleasure and a privilege.  We are pleased to be back at the Boland Theater after last year’s successful production of Chicago, The Musical.  We would like to recognize the Public Arts Resource Center (PARC) and The First Church of Christ, Congregational for supporting this production.

Thank you to our wonderful cast and production team for all the creativity, hard work, and theatrical excellence that has brought A Chorus Line to life.  An integral part of our show is the music.  Thank you to every orchestra member for your musicianship and commitment to excellence.  Music is the heart of a musical and we are honored to have had the opportunity to work with so many fine singers and instrumentalists.

We hope that this is another link in a chain of successful productions that we bring to the Pittsfield stage.  Please consider supporting The Two Of Us Productions, PARC, or any drama, theater or arts group in your area or associated with your local public schools.
